The Woman God Kept
By Candice Hibler Robinson
My pain did not destroy me. God used it to reveal the strength, purpose, and testimony He had already placed inside me.
“Sometimes you do not realize how strong God has made you until strength becomes your only choice.”
Her Testimony
My Story
My name is Candice Hibler Robinson, and this is not simply the story of what I survived. It is the story of how God kept me through every season that should have broken me.
I have known what it feels like to carry responsibilities while quietly carrying pain. I have been a wife, a mother, a grandmother, a caregiver, a minister, an author, and a woman trying to remain strong for everyone around me.
For years, I poured into the people I loved. I cared for both of my parents and walked through the difficult journey of eventually losing them only one year apart. My father passed away in December 2019, and my mother passed away in December 2020.
Grief changed me.
There were moments when I had to continue being present for my family while learning how to live in a world that no longer included the two people who gave me life. I smiled when I wanted to cry. I encouraged others while needing encouragement myself. I prayed for strength when I did not know how I would make it through another day.
But God kept me.
He kept me through grief.
He kept me through disappointment.
He kept me through the responsibilities of motherhood.
He kept me while I cared for others.
He kept me while I learned how to rebuild parts of myself.
He kept me when I did not feel strong enough to keep going.
My life has not been without struggle, but struggle did not have the final word.
God gave me the courage to become an author and share what He taught me through some of my darkest moments. He gave me a heart for women who feel unseen, unheard, or forgotten. He allowed my pain to become ministry and my testimony to become a source of encouragement.
I learned that survival is not always loud.
Sometimes survival looks like getting out of bed.
Sometimes it looks like praying through tears.
Sometimes it looks like continuing to love your family while your own heart is hurting.
Sometimes it looks like starting over.
Sometimes it looks like believing God still has a plan when everything around you feels uncertain.
Today, I am still standing—not because life has always been easy, but because God has always been faithful.
Lessons From The Journey
What God Taught Me
God Can Use What Hurt You
The pain you experienced does not have to be wasted. God can transform it into wisdom, compassion, ministry, and purpose.
Strength Does Not Mean You Never Cry
Strength means you keep trusting God even while the tears are falling.
Your Story Is Still Being Written
One painful chapter does not determine how your entire life will end.
You Survived for a Reason
Someone else may find the courage to keep going because you were brave enough to tell the truth about what God brought you through.
The Calling
Why I Created This Platform
I created Her Blood, Her Sweat & Tears because I know there are women carrying powerful stories inside them.
Not every woman wants to write a book.
Not every woman wants to stand behind a pulpit.
Not every woman knows how to begin telling her story.
But every woman deserves a safe place where her voice can be heard.
This platform was created so women can share their testimonies, preserve their journeys, and encourage another sister who may be walking through a similar season.
Your testimony does not have to be perfect. You do not have to share every private detail. You only need the courage to say, “This is what I went through, this is what God taught me, and this is how I made it.”
A Word For You
What I Want Another Woman To Know
You are not weak because you are tired.
You are not forgotten because you are waiting.
You are not disqualified because you made mistakes.
You are not finished because life did not happen the way you planned.
God still sees you.
God still loves you.
God still has purpose for you.
And the same God who kept me is able to keep you.
Scripture
“And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony.”
Revelation 12:11
Scripture
“She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future.”
Proverbs 31:25
